This Is A Helpful Test Post

Mike has been asking a few members and supporters to login and try out the new site, and so far, that has not happened.  With Skyline taking over the Gaggle of Noobs to become the Fund Raising Team for Skyline, and with me being Mike’s wife, I will be become more involved over the coming weeks and months.

No one knows what Mike’s dreams and hopes are for the Gaggle better than myself and Sue Haynes.  I have watched the  struggles over the last few years within the Gaggle and the lack of support Mike seems to be lacking most of the time, and I know Sue will need help just like Mike did.  I plan to be there to help Sue and the Gaggle continue with what Mike would want to have happen.

I will be asking for Members and Supporters if they also want to help watch this idea grow.  I am sure Sue will appreciate some “O.T.G” help in the coming months and years.  “O.T.G.” stands for “Old Time Gagglers” and I figure those are the people that have been in the Gaggle of Noobs Paintball Team since the very start through the handover and possibly up to Mike’s goodbye.

Anyone wanting to step up or at least hold up a hand to give us a short list of who we might be able to count in in the future?

Thank you,

  1. It appears as though anyone can start a comment, and it only needs to be approved by an admin to get it posted. I am not 100% sure if I like that, because that means this site will need more than one admin, or just a very active admin.

But, thanks for the testing part. Hopefully more will jump in and also test this. If folks don’t help before I am forced by health issues to step away, it will be totally a mess or expensive to hire someone to keep an active eye on the site.

We will get it figured out as always…..

    Thanks Tammy,

  2. Hey there Mike. Yes, the way it is configured as a default is that everyone new has to have one comment approved by an admin and then after that they should be good to go. It helps prevent scammers and spammers from logging in and blasting stuff…:)

Tammy and Mike, I’m here for you – please reach out if you need help, I would hate fo rthere to be something simple that prevents this site from achieving its mission…

  3. No, no, I am just trying to get this all figured out. I am trying to learn more about this at breakneck speed.
I will contact you off site to ask a few questions for down the road.

You have done a great job for the Gaggle and it will be appreciated in more ways down the road, than anyone fully understands at the current time. Other than maybe you and me.

I will send you something in the AM

  4. Hey Mike! I got your package the other day and boy was I surprised! Absolutely love the Jersey and the tid bits you sent along with it. I have a couple things I want to talk to you about, but I will message you directly shortly. Let me know how I can help!

    1. Glad you liked the stuff you got with the shirt, and I hope you wear that shirt with pride for years to come. Dude, you were always The Captain with me, so keep leading your ship and keep moving forward.

      Stay in touch

  5. I’ll lend my time where I can, limited as it often is, all you need to do is ask. I won’t make everything, and I won’t bullshit you and say I can make everything just to flake out. Mike, you’re often not far from my thoughts, and always in my prayers. Keep fighting the good fight.

  6. Thanks Jeff. Your posting is actually helping me learn this newer system, and to make the right type of edits. Plus it helps me put together a Help Guide for Sue at Skyline. I will keep fighting until I’m told it’s time to let go.

Let us hope the weather is cold, the snow not so deep and the tears freeze before hitting the ground.
